Pervis Estupiñán has officially completed his move from Brighton & Hove Albion to AC Milan, signing a five-year contract with the Rossoneri that runs until June 2030. The 27-year-old left-back will don the No.2 jersey at the San Siro, with Milan paying Brighton an initial €17.5 million (around £15 million), plus €2 million (£1.7 million) in potential add-ons, according to *talkSPORT*.
This move comes despite strong interest from Manchester United, who had held advanced discussions with Estupiñán’s representatives earlier this summer. However, the Ecuadorian international opted to pursue a new challenge in Italy with one of Serie A’s biggest clubs instead.
Estupiñán had entered the final two years of his contract with Brighton, prompting the Seagulls to remain open to offers—particularly after the acquisition of Belgian full-back Maxim De Cuyper from Club Brugge. De Cuyper has also committed to a five-year deal with the Premier League side as part of Brighton’s succession planning.
Since joining from Villarreal in 2022, Estupiñán made 104 appearances across three seasons for Brighton, including 30 league matches last season where he recorded one goal and one assist. Following the move, Brighton boss Fabian Hürzeler paid tribute to the departing defender, stating:

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s left-back options remain well-stocked.
