Brighton Shocks Premier League! Star Signs Surprise New Contract – Fans Baffled as Transfer Rumors Explode and Club’s Future Strategy Takes an Unexpected Twist!

Brighton & Hove Albion Secure Loeck’s Future with New Deal Amid Loan Move to Sweden

Brighton & Hove Albion have officially extended the contract of 25-year-old German shot-stopper Melina Loeck, underlining their commitment to building a competitive squad ahead of the new season.

Since joining the Seagulls from Sweden’s Kristianstads DFF in January 2024, Loeck has made 16 appearances across all competitions, proving to be a reliable presence and offering strong competition for the starting spot.

Her impressive form in the latter half of the Women’s Super League (WSL) campaign played a significant role in Brighton’s record league finish, earning praise from head coach Dario Vidošić, who commented, “Melina had consistent match exposure in the second half of last season.

She stepped up to the challenge in the WSL and played a key role in our record finish. We’re delighted that she is extending her stay with us.”*

However, with the recent arrival of Nigerian international Chiamaka Nnadozie, the battle for Brighton’s number one jersey is expected to intensify.

To ensure regular playing time, Loeck will spend the remainder of 2025 on loan at OBOS Damallsvenskan side Hammarby IF — returning to familiar territory in Sweden.

Coach Vidošić added, *“This loan with Hammarby will provide her the opportunity for regular game time in a competitive environment.

We will monitor her progress and wish her all the best for her time in Sweden.

Further updates on Brighton’s squad developments are expected soon as the club continues to refine its roster for the upcoming season.
