Wolves have officially confirmed the appointment of Rob Edwards as their new head coach on a **three-and-a-half-year contract, signaling the start of a major rebuild at Molineux.
The 42-year-old departs Middlesbrough, with the Championship side reportedly set to receive around £3 million in compensation, just five months after Edwards signed a three-year deal there. His arrival comes following the dismissal of Vitor Pereira, who left earlier this month amid a disastrous run of form.
Wolves currently sit eight points adrift of safety, with only two points from their opening 11 Premier League matches, one of which came in a gritty 1-1 draw against Brighton last month. Edwards’ immediate task will be to stabilize a side low on confidence and results.
His first match in charge will come after the international break, when Wolves host Crystal Palace on **November 22.
