Rangers finally delivered on Danny Rohl’s top attacking demand by securing German striker Ryan Naderi, handing the Ibrox boss the focal point he believes can drive a serious title push. The Light Blues wrapped up a deal worth around £5 million to prise the 22-year-old away from Hansa Rostock, with Naderi arriving off the back of an impressive campaign that has seen him register eight goals and five assists in 18 appearances.
Naderi becomes Rangers’ fourth addition of the transfer window, with three of those signings completed on a permanent basis, underlining Rohl’s intent to build a squad capable of sustaining a championship challenge.
Across the city, Celtic endured a contrasting window. Despite heavy interest from Nottingham Forest** in midfielder Arne Engels, the Hoops held firm, rejecting what was understood to be a third offer rising to £25 million for their record signing, who only arrived from Augsburg last August for £11m. While Celtic resisted selling, they closed the window without adding a permanent signing.
Instead, Brendan Rodgers’ side focused on short-term reinforcements, completing three loan deals on deadline day to take their total number of arrivals to five. Austrian international forward Junior Adamu arrived from Freiburg, Lorient winger Joel Mvuka also joined, and Brentford centre-back Benjamin Arthur was added to bolster defensive depth. All three deals include options to buy.

The Gunners did land a youngster, snapping up St Mirren striker Evan Moone in a deal the Buddies described as involving a substantial fee, future add-ons and a significant sell-on clause. St Mirren quickly reinvested by bringing in Manchester United Under-21 captain Jacob Devaney to strengthen their midfield.
It was equally hectic at Easter Road, where Hibernian completed permanent deals for right-back Felix Passlack from Bochum and attacker Ante Suto from Slaven Belupo, while Zimbabwe international Mushane Garananga arrived on loan from FC Copenhagen. Departures followed, with Dylan Levitt joining Leyton Orient, Junior Hoilett moving to Swindon, and Thibault Klidje heading to Randers on loan.
Aberdeen added experience by loaning in Dennis Geiger from Hoffenheim with an option to buy, while Adil Aouchiche was recalled by Sunderland ahead of a move to Schalke. The Dons also sanctioned the exit of Leighton Clarkson, who joined **Blackpool for an undisclosed fee.
Elsewhere, Aaron Tshibola returned to Kilmarnock for a fourth spell until the end of the season, Falkirk secured Aston Villa winger Ben Broggio on loan, and Dundee were busy with three signings—Lewis Montsma, Scott Wright, and teenage forward Aldahir Valenzuela—while standing firm amid interest in **Luke Graham.
Rounding off the window, Dundee United confirmed the permanent signing of Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyei from Israeli side Ashdod, bringing a frenetic transfer deadline to a close across Scottish football.
