AliousOn Tuesday, reports emerged from Italy suggesting that Crystal Palace have initiated contact with Daichi Kamada and are prepared to meet his financial demands.
Over the weekend, Radiosei disclosed that the Eagles have tabled a €5m offer, with Kamada’s representatives expected to travel this week to discuss his future.
According to Cittaceleste.it, Crystal Palace is intensifying their efforts to secure the 27-year-old midfielder.
Kamada, who joined the Serie A side on a free transfer last summer, is currently on a one-year contract with an option to extend for three more years, which must be activated by May 30th.
He is reportedly seeking a contract worth €3.5m to extend his stay, with Lazio chairman Claudio Lotito facing a decision on whether to meet his demands.
Failure to do so could allow Crystal Palace to sign him on a free transfer.
The potential departure of Luis Alberto could free up funds to retain Kamada, who has previously played under Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner at Eintracht Frankfurt.
More clarity on his future is expected once his representatives arrive in Italy.
In the meantime, Lotito commented on Kamada’s desire to stay, stating that he must now demonstrate his commitment.
