AliousTimo Werner has found a new home in London, as the German forward will spend another season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur from RB Leipzig.
During his half-season stint with Spurs last campaign, the 28-year-old made 900 minutes of appearances, scoring twice and providing three assists before a thigh injury cut his season short in late April.
Despite his recent struggles with goalscoring, Werner remains an attacking threat with blistering pace, ranking in the 99th percentile for progressive carries per 90 minutes. His career had stalled after his big-money move to Chelsea, where he managed just 12 and 11 goals in his two seasons after a 34-goal campaign with Leipzig.
He scored only twice in the first half of last season before Leipzig agreed to loan him to Tottenham.
This new loan deal reportedly includes a lower option-to-buy price for Spurs.
With most of their attacking options like Richarlison, Son, and new signings like Brennan Johnson returning, Werner will aim to regain his scoring touch and hopefully pick up where he left off at the end of last season in North London.
