“Leeds United in Desperate Fight to Keep Teenage Sensation Archie Gray Amid Transfer Frenzy!”

Sources have told Football Insider that Leeds United is determined to keep teenage prodigy Archie Gray this summer.

Senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed on the Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that the Whites are hopeful Gray will stay and assist them in their push for promotion next season.

A report by Football Insider on May 28 stated that Leeds will make “every effort” to keep the 18-year-old at Elland Road beyond this summer.

The England U-21 international is one of Leeds’ most valuable assets, and following their 1-0 loss to Southampton in the Championship play-off final, increased interest in several key players is expected.

Sources indicate that the West Yorkshire club plans to retain Gray and make him central to their strategy for returning to the Premier League next year.

The teenager’s contract, extended in January 2024, runs until June 2028.

Gray had a breakout season last year, having been recognized as an exceptional talent at Thorp Arch for some time.

He started 47 of 52 games across all competitions, playing both in midfield and at right back.

However, Leeds is open to offers for players like Gray this summer to balance their finances.

On May 26, Football Insider reported that, following their failure to secure promotion, Leeds needs to generate a substantial £150 million through player sales.

Nevertheless, O’Rourke noted that Gray might choose to stay in West Yorkshire to help the team compete for a Premier League spot next year.
