AliousLiverpool have set their sights on securing the services of Leeds United’s talented winger, Crysencio Summerville, during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has informed GIVEMESPORT that Summerville is likely to depart Elland Road, and the Reds have expressed interest in acquiring the Dutch forward.
Summerville initially joined Leeds United from Feyenoord’s academy in 2020 and swiftly progressed to the first team a year later, amassing over 80 appearances for the club across three seasons.
With Liverpool preparing for a new era under recently appointed head coach Arne Slot, who took charge at Anfield earlier this month following Jurgen Klopp’s departure, the Reds are expected to bolster their wide attacking options.
According to Jacobs, Summerville, described as “unplayable” by Sky Sports pundit Michael Dawson, has emerged as a player of interest for Liverpool.
The journalist suggests that a fee in the region of £30-35 million could be sufficient to secure the forward’s services in the upcoming window, although other clubs may join the race if they fail to land their primary targets.
Jacobs told GIVEMESPORT: “It is very likely that Summerville departs Leeds.
Liverpool are interested in him, and there’s a real feeling that £30-35 million might be good enough, even though Leeds’ valuation might be slightly higher. We may see a domino effect as well.
You’ve got a lot of clubs in the market for Michael Olise, like Chelsea, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
Those who miss out on Olise may realize that Summerville is an excellent option at half the price of Olise’s release clause.”
Last season, Summerville made 49 appearances for Leeds across all competitions, scoring 21 goals and registering 10 assists, helping the club reach the play-off final before narrowly losing to Southampton at Wembley.
Elsewhere, another forward Liverpool could potentially turn their attention to is 21-year-old Maximilian Beier from Hoffenheim.
Reports have emerged linking the Reds with the youngster amidst uncertainty surrounding the future of Darwin Nunez.
According to the German outlet BILD (via SportWitness), Liverpool, Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, and Brentford are among the Premier League clubs keen on signing Beier, who is also attracting interest from Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen.
Beier signed a contract extension with Hoffenheim in October last year, with his new deal running until the summer of 2027.
The report claims he has a release clause believed to be €32.5 million, but it will be reduced by €2.5 million every year.
