JUST IN: Desperate Chelsea willing to include sterling and one Extra Player plus Cash in a bizarre transfer BID to tempt Crystal Palace Olise release Clause

Chelsea is prepared to make a bold move in their long-standing pursuit of Crystal Palace’s 22-year-old star Michael Olise, according to a report by The Daily Mail.

The Blues are willing to offer two of their first-team players, Noni Madueke and Trevoh Chalobah, as part of a deal to secure Olise’s services.

Last summer, Chelsea made a £35 million offer for Olise, believing it would trigger a complicated release clause in his contract. However, their attempts were unsuccessful, prompting Olise to sign a new deal with a convoluted release clause worth up to £60 million.

Undeterred, Chelsea recently contacted Crystal Palace to reignite their interest in the talented attacker.

The proposed swap deal involving Madueke and Chalobah is a peculiar proposition from Chelsea.

Despite being a fan favorite and enjoying a stellar second half of the season after returning from injury, Chalobah is expected to depart Stamford Bridge this summer. Chelsea sees an opportunity to maximize his transfer value by including him in the deal for Olise.

As for Madueke, the young winger made a significant impact towards the end of the campaign, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in 34 appearances across all competitions.

Mauricio Pochettino gave him opportunities in the first team, but Olise’s arrival could potentially see the two compete for the right-wing position, providing Chelsea with much-needed depth for their additional fixtures next season.

Although offering two key players for whom Chelsea invested substantial funds may seem like a gamble, the club recognizes Olise’s immense potential to become an outstanding player, which could benefit them in the long run.

Olise’s ties to Chelsea, having spent seven years in their academy before departing at the age of 14, with his brother Richard still a part of the club’s youth system, may give the West London side an advantage in the pursuit of the highly-rated winger.

Chelsea’s willingness to offer Madueke and Chalobah in exchange for Olise showcases their determination to acquire the talented youngster, aligning with Todd Boehly’s ambitious transfer approach over the past couple of seasons, where he has demonstrated a willingness to push boundaries to secure desired targets.
