TRANSFER EXPERT: “THE HAMMERS STRIKE GOLD! ‘Incredible’ Player Set to Join West Ham, Leaving Liverpool in Awe”…FABRIZIO ROMANO

West Ham United have been actively engaged in transfer activities recently, having already secured the signature of Luis Guilherme from Brazilian club Palmeiras. Now, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers are on the verge of adding another player to their ranks.

Romano reports that Wes Foderingham, a free agent following the expiration of his Sheffield United contract, is set to undergo a medical with West Ham next week.
Concurrently, Nathan Trott is expected to depart the London Stadium, joining FC Copenhagen this weekend.

Foderingham, a 33-year-old goalkeeper, brings a wealth of experience to West Ham, having amassed over 400 professional appearances throughout his career.

The London-born shot-stopper began his journey in Fulham’s youth setup before moving to Crystal Palace’s academy in 2010.

After loan spells at Bromley and Histon, Foderingham made a name for himself at Swindon Town, where he featured 191 times.

He then spent five years with Scottish giants Rangers, making 143 appearances, before joining Sheffield United in 2020.

During his time with the Blades, Foderingham once again surpassed the 100-appearance mark, including 30 Premier League outings last season.

Despite Sheffield United’s struggles, Foderingham showcased his abilities, even impressing former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp during a match in December 2023.

Klopp praised Foderingham’s performance, particularly highlighting an “incredible save” that denied Mohamed Salah.

The German manager expressed his amazement at how Foderingham managed to keep the ball out of the net.

As West Ham prepares to welcome Foderingham, the club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the upcoming season, with the experienced goalkeeper potentially providing valuable competition and depth between the posts.
