FLASH NEWS: It’s His Right to Choose and Decide Who to Play For…”THIERY HENRY”

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry appears to have put an end to the uncertainty surrounding Michael Olise’s international allegiance.

The 22-year-old Crystal Palace winger, born in London but eligible for Nigeria and Algeria through his parents, has chosen to represent France.

Olise’s absence from Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the current European Championship had sparked interest from the English FA.

However, Henry, who manages France’s U-21 and Olympic teams, has confirmed Olise’s commitment to Les Bleus at the senior level.

Having previously played for France’s U-18 and U-21 teams, Olise is now included in Henry’s preliminary Olympic squad for the upcoming Paris games.

During a press conference, Henry stated, as reported by The Mirror UK: “Despite his multiple options, Olise’s desire is to play for France.

It’s important to emphasize his commitment to the French team. If he were English, he would have already opted for England.

He could have chosen to play in the Euros with England, like his Crystal Palace teammate Eberechi Eze, but his heart is set on France, even knowing he wouldn’t feature in this year’s Euros.”

Coinciding with his international decision, Olise is reportedly on the verge of a club transfer.

Bayern Munich seems to be the frontrunner to secure his services, despite interest from several Premier League clubs including Chelsea, Newcastle United, and both Manchester teams.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern appears to be closing in on the talented winger, further solidifying Olise’s apparent plans to leave England.
