Crystal Palace has reportedly joined the race for former Tottenham Hotspur defender Ryan Sessegnon, who recently became a free agent after his five-year stint with Spurs came to an end.
The 24-year-old, once hailed as one of England’s brightest prospects, is now attracting interest from several Premier League clubs.
According to Alan Nixon’s report on his Patreon page, Palace is exploring the possibility of signing Sessegnon.
The versatile player, primarily a left-back, can also operate as a wide midfielder or winger.
During his time at Tottenham, Sessegnon made 57 appearances, contributing three goals and four assists.
Sessegnon’s availability has piqued the interest of multiple clubs.
Fulham, his former team, is considering a reunion, while Leeds United has also been linked with the player.
West Ham United has reportedly made inquiries as well.
For Leeds United, Sessegnon could potentially address their left-back situation.
Currently, Junior Firpo is their primary option in that position, with no natural backup.
Sam Byram has filled in but is more comfortable on the right, while Jamie Shackleton’s future at Elland Road remains uncertain amid rumors of a move to Sheffield United.
Liam Cooper, a left-footed defender who has played at full-back before, could be another option for Leeds. However, his future with the club is also unclear.
