AliousGlen Kamara and Rennes are reportedly nearing an agreement on personal terms for his transfer from Leeds United, according to Ouest-France.
The French news outlet reported on their website (3 July) that an agreement between the club and Kamara is “in the pipeline,” with the Ligue 1 club considering the 28-year-old a “priority” target.
Kamara joined Leeds from Rangers in a £5 million deal last summer, making 42 appearances in all competitions for Daniel Farke’s side, which narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League.
While Rennes has expressed interest in acquiring Kamara, BBC Sport’s Adam Pope reports that Leeds has no intention of allowing the transfer to proceed.

The summer transfer window at Elland Road was anticipated to be difficult following the failure to secure promotion.
Archie Gray has already moved to Tottenham, and it is expected that more players will depart, with Champions League clubs Monaco and Marseille linked to a move for Illan Meslier [Daily Mail, 29 June].
Despite this, Leeds maintains that they are in a strong financial position and will only sanction sales on their terms.
If this is the case, Rennes will need to offer a substantial fee to finalize the deal, as Kamara still has considerable time left on his contract, and Leeds aims to keep the squad intact.
Losing another key midfielder would be a significant setback for Farke, making it crucial for Leeds to retain Kamara if he is indeed on the verge of moving to France.
