The Sun’s Matt Hughes claims Spurs are ready to activate Eze’s £60 million release clause, with an additional £8 million in potential bonuses, totaling a possible £68 million deal.
However, Tottenham aren’t alone in their pursuit, as Premier League title holders Manchester City are also said to be willing to meet the release clause.
Despite being under contract with Palace until June 2027, Eze has caught the eye of several elite clubs, including Spurs.
If completed, this transfer would eclipse Tottenham’s current record signing of Tanguy Ndombele, who joined from Lyon for €62 million in 2019.
Eze proved his worth last season, bouncing back from a month-long injury to net 11 goals and provide 4 assists in 27 league matches.
His brace in the season finale against Aston Villa cemented his place as Palace’s fourth-highest Premier League goalscorer.
These stellar performances earned Eze a place in England’s 26-man Euro squad.
He has featured three times in the tournament as the Three Lions have reached the semi-finals.
Tottenham’s willingness to trigger the 26-year-old’s release clause reflects their ambition to reinforce their squad with elite talent.
Having already secured Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, Spurs are targeting Eze as their next acquisition, signaling their intent for the coming season.
