Glen Kamara, a midfielder formerly with Rangers, joined Leeds United last year on a four-year contract lasting until 2027.

His arrival was part of Leeds’ midfield restructuring after several departures, including Marc Roca, Weston McKennie, Adam Forshaw, and Tyler Adams.

Kamara, along with Ilia Gruev and Ethan Ampadu, was brought in to strengthen the team under Daniel Farke’s management.

Kamara’s first season at Leeds was successful.

featured in 37 league games, starting 33 of them, and played more minutes in the central midfield role than any other player in the squad.

This consistent performance established him as a key figure in the team.

Recently, there have been rumors about Kamara’s future at Leeds.

Despite the club’s strong negotiating position due to his contract, interest from other clubs has emerged. Stade Rennais from Ligue 1 has shown interest, as reported by L’Equipe.

Additionally, Brighton and Hove Albion have reportedly inquired about both Kamara and Willy Gnonto.

While BBC Sport’s Adam Pope reported that Leeds does not want to sell Kamara, Ouest France has suggested that the player is close to agreeing personal terms with Rennes.

Rennes’ Sporting Director, Frederic Massara, has commented on the situation, expressing interest in Kamara but also indicating that patience may be necessary to complete any potential deal.

The transfer speculation continues despite Leeds’ recent sale of Archie Gray to Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee, which has alleviated some of the club’s financial concerns.

However, the possibility of further player departures remains, with Kamara being one of the players linked with a potential move away from Elland Road.
