AliousDesire Doue, a 19-year-old talent from Rennes, has caught the attention of several prominent clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.
According to Football.london, while Manchester United and Arsenal have been observing the young left winger, Tottenham seems most eager to bring him to the Premier League.
However, acquiring Doue won’t be inexpensive.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that Bayern Munich’s €35 million offer for the player was already rejected by Rennes.
Last season, Doue scored four goals and provided four assists in 40 appearances.
While these statistics might not appear impressive at first glance, interested clubs evidently see significant potential in the teenager, considering he has ample time to develop before reaching his prime.
Tottenham needs to act swiftly if they want to secure Doue.
Rennes appears reluctant to facilitate an easy transfer, so Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy must decide if they believe Doue has the potential to become a top-tier player.
If he fulfills his promise, Spurs could be making a shrewd investment, though Levy has historically been cautious about taking such risks.
As of now, Tottenham hasn’t made an official bid.
However, Bayern Munich’s rejected offer might prompt them into action.
