According to sources speaking to Football Insider, West Ham United has inquired about potentially signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer.

The club is seeking a new center-forward and has included the Everton striker on their shortlist of potential attacking reinforcements.

Calvert-Lewin, 27, has not reached an agreement on a new contract with Everton, with his current deal set to expire in summer 2025.

Newcastle United also maintains interest in the striker, despite previous negotiations with Everton falling through earlier this month.

Football Insider previously reported that Newcastle is preparing a new offer, contingent on Callum Wilson’s potential departure from St James’ Park.

Since joining Everton from Sheffield United for £1.5 million in 2016, Calvert-Lewin has made 247 appearances and scored 68 goals for the Merseyside club.

His recent goal-scoring form has been inconsistent, with seven goals in 32 league games last season and two in 17 the previous season.

He has also struggled with injuries, missing 97 games over eight years at Everton, raising concerns about his long-term fitness.

With only a year remaining on his contract, interested clubs may attempt to secure Calvert-Lewin at a reduced price before he becomes a free agent.

West Ham’s new manager, Julen Lopetegui, is keen to strengthen the squad following his appointment as David Moyes’ successor.

The club has already completed two significant signings this summer: Max Kilman from Wolves and Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras.
