Leeds United has completed five permanent player sales this summer, with a potential sixth on the horizon as a medical is scheduled for Tuesday.

Archie Gray was the first major departure, moving to Tottenham for £40m to help Leeds comply with Profit & Sustainability Rules.

This deal also facilitated Joe Rodon’s move to Leeds. Marc Roca followed, making his Betis loan permanent.

Kris Klaesson joined Polish side Rakow, Charlie Cresswell moved to Toulouse in France, and Diego Llorente reunited with Roca at Betis for a fraction of his original transfer fee.

Glen Kamara, who joined Leeds just last summer for £5m, is set to become the sixth sale.

He’s expected to join Rennes in Ligue 1 for £8.5m, with a medical scheduled for Tuesday.

Leeds has signed Joe Rothwell on loan from Bournemouth, but he’s not seen as a direct replacement for Kamara.

The club is expected to pursue another midfielder with similar defensive qualities and experience.

Newcastle United, already linked with Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville, is now also interested in Willy Gnonto.

TeamTalk reports that Leeds want at least £25m for Gnonto, explaining their rejection of a £16.9m bid from Nottingham Forest.

Leeds may consider accepting any offer over £20m, given they initially paid £3.8m for Gnonto.

Jack Harrison has returned to Everton on another season-long loan, following his spell there last season.

He could potentially be reunited with a former Leeds teammate who struggled at Elland Road in the 2022-23 season.
