The Yorkshire Post reaffirmed Leeds’ intention to retain their players, but their resolve may be tested for Summerville and Gnonto.
However, the Gray sale has strengthened Leeds’ financial position, allowing them to potentially demand full valuations for both players, estimated at £25-30 million each.
Currently, Newcastle seems unlikely to sign either target.
Everton appears to be the frontrunner for Gnonto, nearly signing him last year before he decided to stay with Leeds.
While TeamTalk claimed Newcastle had moved ahead in pursuit of Gnonto, other sources still favor Everton’s chances.
As for Summerville, Newcastle’s interest has waned, with expectations that if he leaves Leeds, it would likely be for Liverpool.
