GOOD NEWS: I am coming for you. “Ange postecoglou”

Brentford striker Ivan Toney’s contract expires next summer, and several Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in the England international. While talkSPORT suggests he might let his contract run out and leave on a free transfer, Saudi Arabian teams are also showing interest.

Peterborough, Toney’s former club, stands to gain significantly due to a 30 percent sell-on clause included in the deal that transferred Toney to Brentford.

Peterborough’s chairman, Darragh MacAnthony, believes Toney would be an excellent fit for Tottenham Hotspur.

He told talkSPORT that if Toney were added to Spurs’ squad, they might have finished in the top three last season.

MacAnthony argued that Toney would have made a big difference for other top teams as well, including Arsenal and Chelsea.

Spurs, currently in search of a new striker following Harry Kane’s move to Bayern Munich, are still adapting after a season where they had to rely on a mix of scorers like Heung-min Son, Richarlison, and Dejan Kulusevski.

Toney, who has hinted at a desire for a new challenge, has impressed with England this summer, and his potential move to Europe could prompt Brentford to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next year.
