“THE RIGHTFUL STARTER: Leaves No Room for Debate!” ANGE POSTECOGLOU.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has praised 16-year-old Mikey Moore after the young player scored the winning goal in a pre-season friendly against Vissel Kobe.

Moore, who has been training with the first team since last season, has participated in all three of Spurs’ pre-season matches so far.

He previously scored against Hearts and now added to his tally with a tap-in against Vissel Kobe, assisted by Jamie Donley.

With three more pre-season friendlies scheduled against Bayern Munich (twice) and Team K-League, Moore has additional opportunities to impress Postecoglou.

Due to his age, Moore cannot yet sign a professional contract or go on loan.

However, Football Insider reports that Tottenham is close to agreeing on a new contract with Moore, which they hope he’ll sign when he turns 17 on August 11.

Postecoglou expressed his admiration for Moore in a post-match interview, noting the youngster’s fantastic performance and how he’s earned his spot on the roster.

The manager emphasized the need to carefully manage Moore’s development, given his young age and previous injuries.

Postecoglou also highlighted the promising future of Tottenham’s young players, stressing the club’s responsibility in helping them realize their potential through continued hard work.
