The club has reportedly held further discussions about personal terms with the Portuguese winger, who is a key target for manager Ange Postecoglou’s summer rebuild.
Neto has attracted attention from several top clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool, following an impressive season where he provided 11 assists and scored three goals.
Arsenal remains interested in Neto as potential cover for Bukayo Saka, especially after their target Nico Williams reportedly decided to stay at Athletic Bilbao.
Tottenham’s increased interest in Neto comes as their negotiations with Crystal Palace for Eberechi Eze have hit a roadblock.
The clubs are struggling to agree on a payment structure and overall price for the England international.
While it was widely reported that Eze had a €70 million release clause, FootballTransfers revealed this is actually a gentlemen’s agreement rather than an official clause.
The lack of progress in Eze’s transfer talks has led Tottenham to intensify their efforts to sign Neto.
Meanwhile, Eze’s future remains uncertain, with no clubs currently willing to meet Palace’s asking price.
As a result, it’s becoming increasingly likely that Eze may remain at Crystal Palace beyond this summer transfer window.
