ONE GAME, ONE GOAL, ONE NEW FAVOURITE! Jesper Lindstrom’s Dream Debut Has Everton Fans Hooked”

Jesper Lindstrom, on loan to Everton from Napoli, has expressed feeling “natural” at his new club after scoring a free-kick on his debut in a 3-0 pre-season win against Preston.

Despite only joining on July 26, Lindstrom says it feels like he’s been with Everton for six months.

The Danish international struggled at Napoli, failing to score in 29 appearances, but found the net just 69 minutes into his Everton debut.

Lindstrom told Danish media that he’s rediscovered his joy for football at Everton, contrasting his difficult year in Naples.

His positive comments hint at the possibility of activating the permanent transfer option in his loan deal.

If Lindstrom continues to perform well, Napoli may be eager to secure the agreed £21 million fee from Everton.

However, Everton’s current financial situation, including uncertainty around ownership, makes such a significant transfer fee challenging at present.

The sale of Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for £50 million provides some funds, but the club has other positions to strengthen, particularly in midfield.

By next summer, Everton may be in a better financial position with new owners and increased revenue from their move to Bramley-Moore Dock, potentially allowing them to make Lindstrom’s transfer permanent.
