ELLAND ROAD EMINENT EXODUS: “Multi-Million Pound Players to Be Swept Up by Premier League Managers in Next 3 Weeks From Leeds United”

Portsmouth marked their Championship return with a hard-fought 2-2 draw against promotion favorites Leeds United at Elland Road.

Portsmouth twice took the lead through Elias Sorensen and Callum Lang, but Leeds equalized each time with goals from Wilfried Gnonto and Brenden Aaronson.

Leeds fielded several players rumored to be transfer targets, including Gnonto and Georginio Rutter.

Portsmouth manager John Mousinho commented on Leeds’ squad quality, suggesting that Premier League managers should consider signing some of their “multi-million pound players” in the coming weeks.

Leeds United, under Daniel Farke, have been active in the transfer market, signing players like Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, and Joe Rothwell.

They’re now reportedly interested in Chelsea youngster Bashir Humphreys, along with Championship rivals Burnley and some Bundesliga clubs.

Humphreys, an England Under-21 international, spent last season on loan at Swansea City and has limited senior experience with Chelsea.

According to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea prefers to sell Humphreys rather than loan him out again.

The transfer window remains active, with Leeds potentially looking to strengthen further before it closes, while also managing interest in some of their current players from other clubs.
