Newcastle United has made a third attempt to acquire Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace, offering around £60 million, according to BBC Sport sources.
The offer is structured as £55 million upfront with potential £5 million in add-ons.
Crystal Palace, however, values the 24-year-old England defender at nearly £70 million, especially after his impressive performance at Euro 2024.
Newcastle’s previous bid was reportedly just under £50 million.
Guehi, who has less than two years left on his contract, is a key asset for Palace.
Since joining from Chelsea in 2021, he has played 111 times for the club and attracted interest from top teams.
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace is considering bringing Wilfried Zaha back on loan.
The 31-year-old, who left for Galatasaray last year, scored 10 goals in 42 appearances for the Turkish club last season.
Palace is looking to bolster their attack after losing Michael Olise to Bayern Munich.
They’ve already signed Daichi Kamada, Ismaila Sarr, and Chadi Riad.
