AliousAccording to sources speaking to Football Insider, Joachim Andersen, Fulham’s primary target, is satisfied with his situation at Crystal Palace despite rumors about his future.
On August 12, Football Insider reported that Fulham had made a £20 million bid to bring the 28-year-old back to the club.
However, this offer is unlikely to be successful at that price point. Moreover, Palace are reluctant to sell Andersen, especially with Marc Guehi being a high-value target for Newcastle.
The Danish player could potentially become the next team captain, having already stepped in for Guehi towards the end of the 2023-24 season.
Sources indicate that Andersen is content to stay at Palace and would consider moving only if a more prestigious club shows interest, provided his strong performances continue.
Although Andersen spent the 2020-21 season on loan at Fulham, he’s not currently considering a return to Craven Cottage.
He was a crucial player for Palace in the 2023-24 season, starting all 38 Premier League games and completing 90 minutes in all but one match.
Andersen played a key role under both Roy Hodgson and Oliver Glasner as Palace secured a 10th place finish in the Premier League.
He joined Palace three years ago for a reported fee exceeding £17 million and is under contract until June 2026.
During his time with the Eagles, he has made 112 appearances.
