AliousSean Dyche, Everton’s manager, has disclosed that there have been no discussions about extending his contract as the club prepares to move to a new stadium next summer.
Despite entering the final year of his current deal, Dyche remains unconcerned about his future impacting the upcoming season.
Everton begins their final season at Goodison Park today against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Dyche, who became Everton’s eighth manager in as many years under Farhad Moshiri’s ownership, was appointed on January 30, 2023.
His appointment was reportedly championed by the late chairman Bill Kenwright, rather than Moshiri, who preferred Marcelo Bielsa.
Given the frequent managerial changes during Moshiri’s tenure, Dyche needs only six more games to become the longest-serving manager at Goodison Park under the current ownership.
However, with the club’s ownership situation still unresolved, Dyche remains relaxed about his position.
When asked about his contract, Dyche stated that neither he nor the club has brought up the subject.
He emphasized that his personal situation is not a priority, given the bigger picture of the club’s current predicament.
Dyche acknowledged that while the overall situation at the club has calmed, it’s still not fully resolved.
He reiterated his commitment to continue working hard and focusing on the team and the club, rather than his own contract situation.
