FREEDMAN’S DEFENSIVE GAMBLE! 25-Year-Old Set for Transfer Lifeline Switch to Selhurst Park-Can Dougie Lure Him to Join the Eagles?”

Crystal Palace are seeking to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes, following two consecutive Premier League losses.

Their recent defeat to West Ham has highlighted the need for reinforcements.

The club has shown interest in Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah, but they’re also looking to bolster their defense.

After selling Joachim Andersen to Fulham for around £30 million, Palace have made a £14 million bid for Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix.

However, they’re exploring other options as well.According to South London Press, Palace are also considering Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.

The club’s Sporting Director, Dougie Freedman, is keen on the 25-year-old defender, who has fallen out of favor at Chelsea.

The Blues are open to selling Chalobah, preferring a permanent transfer.

Chalobah, despite being praised by Todd Boehly and having a long-term contract until 2028 (with an option for an additional year), hasn’t featured in Chelsea’s plans this season.

He was left out of pre-season tours and hasn’t played in the Premier League.

With Palace likely to retain Marc Guehi unless Newcastle makes a substantial offer, signing a player with Premier League experience like Chalobah could be beneficial for manager Oliver Glasner.

Chalobah has made 80 Premier League appearances since coming through Chelsea’s youth academy.

While his fitness might be a concern, Palace could potentially pursue a loan deal with an option to buy next summer.
