OFFICIAL STATEMENT! Forgotten Tottenham star who has absolutely Played nothing for the Lilywhites set for Imminent EXIT After Club confirmed not renewing contract with SPURS Departure confirmed, Unavailable Next season

The Malian midfielder first caught the eye during a two-year stint with Ligue 1 side Lille, earning a move to Brighton in the Premier League.

At Brighton, he showcased his quality over three seasons, making 124 appearances and establishing himself as a key figure in midfield. His performances didn’t go unnoticed, with former Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa praising him as a “great player.”

Interest from top clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool followed, though neither side made a decisive move. During Steven Gerrard’s time at Aston Villa, the midfielder was also a target, but a deal never materialised.

It was Tottenham Hotspur who ultimately secured his signature four years ago, reportedly for an initial £25 million—though later claims suggested the fee was significantly higher.

However, he has struggled to fully meet expectations in north London, featuring inconsistently despite making 108 appearances for the club.

With his contract set to expire at the end of the current season, the midfielder is now attracting interest from Turkey. Reports from A Spor indicate that Fenerbahçe are once again keen on signing him and are expected to open talks with his representatives following the recently concluded international break.

The Turkish side had shown interest last summer but stopped short of making an offer. A move to Turkey could now be appealing, offering the chance to join one of the country’s biggest clubs and compete in European football.

Currently sidelined with a muscle injury, it remains uncertain whether he has already played his final game for Spurs, who are battling to avoid relegation under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi.
