Crystal Palace’s lineup for today’s match at the City Ground features two notable changes to the starting eleven. Will Hughes and Daichi Kamada have been promoted to the starting lineup, while Adam Wharton and Ismaïla Sarr move to the substitutes’ bench.
Fresh from international duty, Kamada returns to the team after an impressive performance for Japan, where he found the net in their World Cup qualifying victory against Saudi Arabia. For Hughes, this marks his first start since last appearing in the starting eleven during September’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea’s home ground.
While Wharton has been dealing with an injury situation, as Oliver Glasner mentioned in his pre-match briefing, he’s recovered sufficiently to be named among the substitutes. The bench is bolstered by the inclusion of two promising youth prospects, Caleb Kporha and Asher Agbinone, both eager for their first-team debuts.
