Tottenham fans’ huge anticipation over injury return revealed after Roberto De Zerbi drops bombshell on Kudus’ return date

After a three-week pause in Premier League action, Gameweek 32 resumes on Friday with West Ham United hosting Wolverhampton Wanderers.

A win for the struggling Hammers could lift them above Tottenham Hotspur, potentially pushing Spurs into the relegation zone ahead of their clash with Sunderland on Sunday, April 12.

That scenario would intensify the pressure on new head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who has been brought in to steer Tottenham clear of relegation in the final seven matches of the season.

Tottenham have already offered supporters a first look at De Zerbi’s methods, sharing behind-the-scenes footage from his opening training session. The former Brighton manager has also given his first interview since taking charge, outlining what fans can expect from his approach.

Before leading the team against Sunderland, De Zerbi will address the media for the first time in a pre-match press conference.

Journalist Alasdair Gold has confirmed that the Italian will speak to the press on Friday at 1:30pm, where he will preview Spurs’ upcoming Premier League fixture.

With the relegation threat growing, Tottenham are in desperate need of a positive response. A victory over Sunderland could lift them as high as 15th in the table, provided Leeds United and Nottingham Forest both lose their matches.

However, Spurs’ winless run throughout 2026 remains a major concern. De Zerbi will be determined to stop the downward spiral, with the club edging closer to matching — or even surpassing — Derby County’s unwanted record of 18 games without a win at the start of a calendar year. Reaching that mark would almost certainly confirm their relegation this season.
