A closer look at those numbers raises further questions about how that money has been used. Our own estimates place Tottenham’s total spending closer to £871 million, although Swiss Ramble’s figure may include additional costs such as wages, bonuses and agent fees. It’s also possible that transfers from the 2020/21 campaign — worth around £95 million — were factored into the overall total.
