AliousRadu Drăgușin is reportedly set to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer after informing his agent that he wants to secure a move away, according to spotmedia.ro.
The Romanian defender is one of several players placed on Tottenham’s transfer list, alongside João Palhinha, Randal Kolo Muani, Pape Matar Sarr, and Ben Davies. Drăgușin has now given the green light for a departure and has tasked his agent, Florin Manea, with finding him a new club.
Manea is already in discussions with a number of teams in Italy and Germany, and the report suggests it is increasingly unlikely that the centre-back will remain in North London beyond the summer.
Recent developments further underline his uncertain future, with Drăgușin left on the bench in Tottenham’s last three matches, indicating he is no longer a key part of the manager’s plans. He has made just nine appearances for the club so far this season.
A return to Serie A or a switch to the Bundesliga appears to be the most likely outcome, with Fiorentina, AS Roma, AC Milan, and RB Leipzig all said to be interested in signing him.
However, any deal will depend on Tottenham’s asking price, as the club looks to recoup a substantial portion of the fee they paid to sign him.
Spurs brought Drăgușin in from Genoa for around €25 million at the start of 2024. The 24-year-old is currently valued at approximately €20 million and remains under contract until the summer of 2030.
Despite his struggles for game time, Drăgușin is still regarded as one of Romania’s brightest defensive prospects, and his next move could play a crucial role in shaping his career trajectory in Europe.
