AliousSpurs Web has reported in recent weeks that Tottenham have begun discussions with Marcos Senesi’s representatives ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Bournemouth centre-back is nearing the end of his contract, which expires in June, and he is not expected to extend his stay at the Vitality Stadium. Last week, Florian Plettenberg suggested that Spurs had even reached an agreement in principle with the defender—provided Roberto De Zerbi’s side avoid relegation.
However, Tottenham are not alone in the race for the 28-year-old. Interest is said to be growing, with clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool also monitoring his situation. Journalist Mark Brus echoed this, noting that Spurs have already held “advanced talks” with the Argentine.
Despite the speculation, Senesi has made it clear he has not yet decided on his next move. Speaking to Radio La Red AM 910, he admitted even his Bournemouth teammates doubt his uncertainty.
“They get annoyed because they think I’ve already signed somewhere,” he said. “They don’t believe me when I tell them I still don’t know what I’m going to do.”
While Barcelona and Juventus are also believed to be keeping tabs on him, Senesi insists he is keeping his options open. Although he enjoys playing in the Premier League, he is not ruling out a move abroad.
“I don’t have a preferred league,” he added. “Of course, I like the Premier League and the level of competition, but I’m open to other leagues too. I’ve told my agent to inform me when there’s something concrete.”
