However, Jamie Carragher has expressed doubts over Spurs’ chances this weekend. Speaking on Sky Sports, the former Liverpool defender highlighted Wolves’ resilience at home, even against top opposition, as a key concern.
Carragher pointed out that Wolves have taken points off strong sides at Molineux in recent months and questioned whether their relegation status would significantly impact their performance. He also underlined Tottenham’s alarming form, noting that they have not won a league game since December, making it difficult to confidently back them for an away victory.
His concerns are understandable. Spurs’ poor run has made them unreliable, while Wolves, despite their relegation, have shown character in front of their home fans. Victories over Aston Villa and Liverpool, along with a draw against league leaders Arsenal, highlight their competitiveness at Molineux.
Although Wolves have struggled away from home—suffering heavy defeats to West Ham United and Leeds United—it would be a mistake to assume Tottenham will have an easy task. Given the current form of both sides, this fixture is far from straightforward for De Zerbi’s men.
