AliousFenerbahçe have intensified their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Yves Bissouma as they plan a major midfield rebuild ahead of the 2026–27 season, according to reports from Turkish-Football.
The Turkish giants have now opened formal negotiations to bring the Mali international to Istanbul. The move forms part of a broader squad reshaping under the club’s hierarchy, with the aim of assembling a dominant midfield unit for the upcoming campaign.
Fenerbahçe have already been active in recent transfer windows, adding high-profile players such as N’Golo Kanté and Matteo Guendouzi. However, the club is continuing its recruitment drive, especially as Edson Álvarez and Fred are reportedly set to leave, creating a need for a strong presence in the middle of the pitch.
The club is reportedly aiming to build a “Golden Triangle” in midfield, potentially combining Bissouma with Kanté, Guendouzi, and Ismail Yüksek.
Bissouma’s contract situation makes him an even more appealing target. His current deal with Tottenham is due to expire at the end of the season, allowing him to become a free agent. Fenerbahçe have already made contact with his representatives to discuss personal terms.
On the pitch, Bissouma has played a limited role at Spurs this season, featuring in just eight matches. Despite this, he remains highly valued for his defensive work and ability to operate under pressure.
